How much does a metal railing cost?
Because we only fabricate railings we are able to keep our overhead low by sourcing the best materials at the best price and keeping the hours on the job low. Therefore, we have an incredibly competitive cost starting at $200 a linear foot.
What is the process like for hiring a railing contractor?
With Rod and Forge it’s really quite simple. We have it down to 3 easy steps. Once you reach out to us, we discuss style, design, and time frame. Next we come out to your place take measurements and solidify all designs, and we send you a CAD drawing of all we have discussed. Next, we fabricate the railing in-shop. Lastly we come out and install and we leave you with the railing you wanted!
How long does installation take?
We do all of the fabrication in-shop. So depending on the size it can take anywhere from a couple hours to a few days. However, on average an install takes around 4 to 6 hours.
Do railings need maintenance?
Yes, as with anything of quality you will need to maintain your railing. But with good maintenance a Rod and Forge railing can last you a lifetime. Each railing we fabricate comes with a maintenance guide specific to that railing. But most metal railings just require a periodic inspection and a wash with mild soap and water to remove dirt and debris.
How long does it take to make a railing?
From the first call to install, it can be anywhere from 3 to 8 weeks. Because we specialize in railings only we have been able to work out all the things that slow the process down and then improve other areas to make the process more efficient. What can metal railing be installed into?
Metal railing can be installed on concrete, wood, sheet rock, tile, and work around carpet. We have been able to find a solution for all of our clients to make their railing happen.
